India at CWG 2010 Day-3 | India on gold hunt!!!

Indian boxers rounded off a second successive all-win day with Asian silver medallist Jai Bhagwan and nine-time national champion Dilbag Singh advancing to the pre-quarterfinals with comprehensive victories in their opening bouts of the Commonwealth Games here on Wednesday.


Narang got his gold in 10 mtr air rifle individual shooting event. Bindra claims silver. Bindra shoots 10.7 to Narang's 10.3.
India got one more silver in shooting: Ronjon Sodhi and Asher Noria get the silver in the double trap (pairs).
Anisa Sayyed of India claims gold in the women's 25 mtr pistol final. India's Rahi Sarnobat gets the silver. 
Omkar Singh won gold in the men's 50 mtr pistol final.








India's Renu Bala Chanu gets gold for India in women's weightlifting 58 kg category. She lifted 197 kg - five more than what Australian silver-medallist Seen Lee managed.










Rajender Kumar's (in blue)55kg gold medal provided some solace as other Indian grapplers disappointed in the Greco-Roman competitions, Sunil Kumar got bronze in Greco-Roman style wrestling and Manoj Kumar scoops silver for India in the 84kg Greco-Roman wrestling also Dharmender takes bronze in Greco-Roman wrestling


Sania-Rushmi defeat Scotland’s Mhairi Brown-Jocelyn Rae 6-1, 7-6 to enter women’s doubles semifinals but Rohan Bopanna crashed out of the men's singles competition

India's Prasanta Karmakar made history on Wednesday by clinching the first ever medal (Bronze) in a paralympic event of the Commonwealth Games. By thus India grabs its first ever medal in swimming.
