Actor Karthi’s engagement ceremony with Chennai based girl Ranjani took place at Sivakumar’s home in the presence of close relatives and friends. Karthi will be entering wedlock with Ranjani on July 3, 2011. Born to Chinnasamy and Jothi Meenakshi in Erode, Ranjani has finished her post graduate in English Literature from Stella Maris,Chennai. Karthi has completed his B E course in Crescent Engineering College in Chennai and has done his MS in Industrial Engineering from Binghamton University, New York.

Ranjani, who is a M.A Literature Gold Medalist, has pursued her studies in Stella Maris College, Chennai. Karthik Sivakumar is a Indian film actor. Son of actor Sivakumar and younger brother of Surya Sivakumar, he made his acting debut in 2007 with the top-grossing film Paruthiveeran, receiving critical acclaim and the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his performance as the titular character. Actor Karthi completed his B.E in Crescent Engineering College and completed his M.S in Industrial Engineering in a leading University in New York.

A large gathering of men and women from the village and neighboring areas gathered at the village temple, where Karthi and his family members offered prayers before leaving for the bride’s home. Karthik Sivakumar’s Ranjani wedding at the Kodesia Complex in Coimbatore.Both the couple decided to fly to Tahiti Island, which is located at a zone where Pacific Ocean meets the Atlantic Ocean.
