Conditions at CWG Village acceptable now: Crosswhite

New Delhi, Sep 23 (PTI) In what would be music to ears of the Indian organisers, Australian CWG Association chief Perry Crosswhite today said the condition of the Games Village is "acceptable" as of now and also confirmed arrival of their contingent for the Games.

The Games Village in East Delhi was hailed by India media following its soft opening but pilloried after visiting delegates revealed the "unlivable" and "filthy" conditions.

He though said the things are getting better.

"Conditions at the Commonwealth Games Village are acceptable. Things are getting better every time. The residential towers at the Village are improving. However, water at the basement inside the Village is a bit of a concern to us," Crosswhite said at a media conference.

Last night Aug 28th A.R. Rahman the mozart of madras gave the live performance for Common Wealth Games 2010 theme song.

The song "Oh yaaro, yeh India bula liya" was yet another master piece from the oscar winner A.R.R, song was sung by himself. A.R.R told that it took 6 months to complete this master piece and he was honoured to get the opportunity to compose theme song for this mega event. Delhi CM Sheila dixit, Kalmadi where present at the ceremony. Kalmadi said that within this left over 34 days, all the preparation will be finished and I will assure it will be flourishing games.
